Our Commitment to Cleanliness
At the Berkman we are committed the health and wellbeing of our guests and residents by ensuring a safe, clean, and inviting environment. It is the core of our commitment to providing the highest level of hospitality.
In response to COVID-19, we incorporate industry-leading and scientifically driven elevated cleanliness standards to safeguard the wellbeing of our guests and colleagues. Our strengthened safety and sanitizing measures incorporate the latest guidance from the world’s leading health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and MN Department of Health (MDH), and apply to all guest rooms, public and back-of-house areas.
The comprehensive strategies we are employing are rooted in industry experience, based on the latest scientific guidance, and utilize hospital-grade cleaners and best practices designed to prevent the spread of viruses. These strategies will be updated regularly to reflect the most current science and technology available.
At a glance, here is what we are doing to keep you safe and comfortable:
BE WELL. STAY WELL.
Starting with our public spaces and high-traffic areas, we are going above and beyond our normal protocols. We are cleaning surfaces with increased frequency, dedicated staff, and recommended cleaning agents.
Hand sanitizing stations are being installed at hotel entrances, at our front desks, public spaces, and back of house areas.
Signage in public spaces will remind our guests to maintain social distancing. We will be adding partitions at check-in to provide an extra level of precaution for our guests and our associates and our check-in process is contact free.
In guest rooms, we have elevated our rigorous protocols to thoroughly clean all surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants. In addition, we incorporate the latest cleaning technology via electrostatic sprayers to sanitize surfaces throughout the hotel. Our linens are cleaned off-site at Textile Care Services which provides linen cleaning services to healthcare and long-term care facilities including the Mayo Clinic. TCS was recognized by TRSA, the textile industry’s leading association, as 2020 “Best Plant of the Year.”
Our mobile technologies provide reassurance and distancing options for our guests. Our Latch key technology allows for state of the art secured touchless access throughout much of the building.
